# Privacy Policy - SQA Spell Check

SQA Spell Check processes text locally in your browser to detect possible spelling mistakes on the current page.

## What data is processed

- Visible text from the current webpage when the user starts a scan.
- Extension settings stored locally:
  - selected language
  - UI language
  - custom dictionary words added by the user

## What data is not collected

- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not collect analytics.
- We do not transmit page text to remote servers.
- We do not use remote code execution.

## Storage

Settings and custom dictionary words are stored locally using the browser extension storage API.

## Permissions use

- `activeTab`: access only to the active tab after explicit user interaction.
- `scripting`: inject local extension scripts to run the scan on demand.
- `storage`: save user preferences and custom words.
- `contextMenus`: allow adding selected words to the custom dictionary.
